I guess I am like everyone else who decided to be a teacher, I adore children. However, thats not the only reason I decided to teach. I love the idea and thought of being able to influence a child's life. Everyone has had teachers in the past who have influenced them in a very positive way, and thats one reason I decided to teach. I worked in an elementary school for a year and thats what really made me decide to teach. Being able to help the children when they didnt understand a difficult concept was the main reason I decided to teach.

I had trouble learning when I was a child. I also hope to be able to help children having trouble with a difficult concept.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way you do about helping kids, Keisha. Doesn't it also make you feel amazing that you are the one that can make a child realize..."Oh! I see now! Thanks for helping me out!" I love being able to teach a child a new skill and they think it is the most amazing thing in the world! =)
ReplyDeleteThat is really neat that you got to work in an elementary school for a year and got that experience. You can't really get a feel for what its going to be like being a teacher without actually being in the field.
